Lihat Profil SellerExtra-High Molecular Weight Hexene Copolymer for Demanding Blow Molding & Thermoforming Applications
Marlex® HXM 50100S is an extra-high molecular weight polyethylene (EHMW PE) hexene copolymer engineered for superior mechanical performance in large blow-molded and thermoformed parts. It delivers exceptional rigidity, outstanding low-temperature impact resistance, high melt strength, and excellent environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). Ideal for heavy-duty applications such as fuel tanks, agricultural containers, industrial pallets, truck bedliners, and playground equipment, this resin combines toughness with regulatory compliance — including FDA food-contact suitability under specific conditions and inclusion in the EU Drug Master File. Non-hazardous under major global transport regulations and stable under normal handling conditions, Marlex® HXM 50100S offers manufacturers a reliable, high-performance material that meets both engineering and safety requirements.

- Outstanding low-temperature impact performance (< -75°C brittleness point)
- High rigidity and structural integrity (1200 MPa flexural modulus)
- Excellent melt strength for stable processing in blow molding
- FDA-compliant for specific food-contact uses
- Non-hazardous under DOT, IATA, IMO, and ADR regulations
- High tensile impact strength (190 kJ/m²) for durability
- Good thermal stability (Vicat softening point: 126°C)
Processing Conditions
- Extrusion blow molding: Recommended melt temperature 190–230°C
- Thermoforming: Preheat to 140–170°C depending on part geometry
- Use standard HDPE processing equipment with optimized screw design for high-viscosity resins
- Ensure adequate drying if exposed to moisture (though hygroscopicity is low)
- Minimize residence time at high temperatures to avoid degradation
Regulatory Compliance
- FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 (for repeated food contact under specified conditions)
- EU Drug Master File listed
- REACH registered
- Not classified as hazardous under GHS/CLP
- Complies with US DOT, IATA, IMO, and ADR for non-hazardous transport
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
- Keep containers closed to prevent contamination
- Shelf life: Indefinite under proper storage conditions
Safety Information
- Not classified as hazardous under GHS
- Non-irritating to skin and eyes in solid form
- Thermal processing may release mild irritants (e.g., aldehydes, ketones); use local exhaust ventilation
- Refer to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling and emergency measures
