High-performance two-component adhesive for dry lamination of films and foils with excellent heat resistance and FDA compliance

Novacote NC-7105 + CA-27 is a solvent-based, two-component polyester polyurethane adhesive system engineered for dry bonding applications in the flexible packaging industry. It consists of an OH-rich component (NC-7105) and a moisture-sensitive NCO co-reactant (CA-27), delivering immediate bond strength and exceptional durability. The adhesive cures rapidly, achieving maximum performance within 5–10 days at ambient conditions, or in just 3–5 days when cured at elevated temperatures up to 40°C. Ideal for laminating polyolefin, polyester, and nylon films—especially when corona-treated—it ensures strong, long-lasting bonds even under thermal and mechanical stress. With a dry coating weight of 2–4 gsm and viscosity between 1600–3000 mPas at 23°C, it offers optimal processability via gravure or smooth roll coating. Compliant with FDA regulations, this adhesive is well-suited for food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and medical packaging where safety and regulatory adherence are critical.
