Lihat Profil SellerPremium Hydrophobic, Ultra-Fine Ground CaCO₃ for Enhanced Dispersion & Performance in Paints, Plastics, and Rubber
DERICOAT is a premium, surface-coated fine-ground calcium carbonate powder derived from high-purity white limestone. Engineered through a dry treatment process, it features a hydrophobic and dis-agglomerated surface for superior dispersion in polymer and coating systems. With ≥98.5% CaCO₃ purity, ultra-fine particle size (D50 = 2.0 µm), and low impurities, DERICOAT enhances gloss, opacity, mechanical strength, and processing efficiency. It enables cost-effective formulation by partially replacing resins and pigments while maintaining or improving product quality across paints, plastics, rubber, and composites.

- Oil Absorption: 14.0 g/100g (ASTM D281)
- pH (10% slurry): 9.0 ± 0.3 (ISO 787-9)
Applications
- Solvent-based and anticorrosive paints for improved opacity and durability
- Polyolefin masterbatches and PVC compounds (cables, rigid sheets)
- FRP and thermoset composites
- Rubber reinforcement in industrial parts, footwear, and latex products
- Plastic films and injection-molded components requiring stiffness and surface finish
Advantages
- Superior dispersion due to hydrophobic, dis-agglomerated surface treatment
- High brightness (94.5%) and color consistency from ultra-low iron content
- Reduces formulation costs by replacing expensive resins and TiO₂
- Improves mechanical properties: stiffness, impact resistance, tear strength
- Enhances surface finish, gloss, and flow characteristics
- Low oil absorption enables higher loading without viscosity issues
Processing Conditions
- Can be incorporated via standard dry blending or compounding processes
- Compatible with twin-screw extruders for masterbatch production
- Recommended drying: 1–2 hours at 100–110°C if exposed to moisture
- Typical loading levels: 5–60% depending on application and matrix
Regulatory Compliance
- FDA GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) for indirect food contact
- Compliant with REACH (EU)
- Listed on TSCA (USA), DSL (Canada), AICS (Australia), and other global inventories
- Non-hazardous under GHS/CLP for transport and storage
Storage Conditions
- Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area
- Keep containers tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption
- Shelf life: 24 months when stored properly
Safety Information
- Non-toxic and non-flammable
- May cause mild eye or respiratory irritation as a dust—use NIOSH-approved dust mask and safety goggles
