The course consists of two separate e-Learning modules:
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Introduction eLearning Course.
- ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety – Implementation eLearning Course .
The Objective for this course:
- Prevent work related injury and ill health by identifying and controlling hazards, that will provide a safe and provide a healthy workplace.
- Incorporate the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model and risk-based thinking into the management system processes so that you can address risks and make the most of any opportunities.
- Create a health and safety culture, where employees are encouraged to take an active role in their own OH&S.
- Successfully plan and implement a management system based on an ISO standard.
- Manage the implementation and the project team using project management principles and techniques.
- Ensure changes to processes and procedures are communicated and everyone is trained so they can support and contribute to the management system objectives.
- Complete an objective evaluation of your organisation’s current performance, to ensure the processes are in place and operating as intended.
- Plan and prepare activities in readiness for the certification audit.
Before starting this course it is recommended that learners have the following prior knowledge:
- OH&S management principles and concepts to ensure continual improvement of health and safety performance and the OH&S
- Evaluating activities relating to products and services in order to establish and control risks and hazards associated with emergency situations and accidents
- Managing risks and hazards relating to workplace locations, people and activities where the organisation has control and influence over health and safety
- OH&S legislation and how legal compliance forms part of an OH&S management systems
- Evaluating and controlling risks and hazards and identifying areas for improvement (e.g., risk assessments and method statements)
