The Objective for this course:

1. Follow a systematic approach to establish processes that will improve energy-related performance and energy efficiency
2. Incorporate the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model and risk-based thinking into the management system processes so that you can address risks and make the most of any opportunities
3. Create a culture where employees are encouraged to take an active role in saving energy and improving energy use and consumption
4. Successfully plan and implement a management system based on an ISO standard
5. Manage the implementation and the project team using project management principles and techniques
6. Ensure changes to processes and procedures are communicated and everyone is trained so they can support and contribute to the management system objectives
7. Complete an objective evaluation of your organisation’s current performance, to ensure the processes are in place and operating as intended
8. Plan and prepare activities in readiness for the certification audit

1. The course is designed for Anyone who requires knowledge of ISO 50001:2018 or needs to develop their skills in implementing or auditing an energy management system.
2. Completion criteria: learners will be required to complete the entire course and gain a pass mark of 80% or more in the final assessment. Upon successful completion learners will be able to download a certificate of completion.
