STERLENE™ CMW402 is a specialty 40% talc-filled polypropylene compound (PP-TD40) developed for automotive under-hood applications that require high stiffness, good dimensional stability, and reliable heat resistance. With a higher talc content compared to PP-TD20 grades, CMW402 provides increased rigidity and reduced deformation under thermal and mechanical stress. Supplied in pellet form, this grade is designed for injection molding and is available in black, natural, or customized colors.

  • Density: 1.22 g/cm³ (ISO 1183)
  • Tensile Strength at Yield: 28 MPa (ISO 527-2)
  • Tensile Modulus: 4000 MPa (ISO 527-2)
  • Elongation at Yield: 2.8% (ISO 527-2)
  • Flexural Strength: 46 MPa (ISO 178)
  • Flexural Modulus: 3800 MPa (ISO 178)
  • Izod Impact Strength @ 23°C: 4.0 kJ/m² (ISO 180/B)
  • HDT @ 1.8 MPa (85°C × 2h anneal): 91°C (ISO 75-2/A)

Processing Conditions
