STERLENE™ HMU234 is a specialty 20% talc-filled polypropylene compound (PP-TD20) engineered for automotive under-hood applications requiring high stiffness, good thermal resistance, and low emission characteristics. This grade provides enhanced rigidity compared to standard talc-filled polypropylene while maintaining stable processing performance. Supplied in pellet form, HMU234 is designed for injection molding and is available in black, natural, or customized colors to suit various automotive component requirements.

  • Elongation at Yield: 4.2% (ISO 527-2)
  • Flexural Strength: 55 MPa (ISO 178)
  • Flexural Modulus: 3300 MPa (ISO 178)
  • Izod Notched Impact Strength: 4.3 kJ/m² (ISO 180/B)
  • HDT @ 1.8 MPa (85°C × 2h anneal): 90°C (ISO 75-2/A)

Processing Conditions
